Can a customer alter a request for quotation after a manufacturer has submitted an offer?
No. The manufacturer’s offer relates directly to the information provided in the request for quotation so it is obviously not possible to alter the request for quotation after an offer has been submitted.
  
Can a manufacturer alter or delete an offer after a customer has accepted it?
No. After an offer has been accepted, it is not possible to delete or alter it as the manufacturer and the customer have entered into a contractually binding agreement. However, offers made by other manufacturers for the same request for quotation will be automatically deleted.
   
Can a manufacturer alter an offer if it has not been accepted by a customer?
Of course. This is one of the main advantages of a trading platform.
  
Why are the ‘manufacturer assessment’ / ‘price of offer’ sections sometimes left blank in the requests for quotation list?
If these sections are left blank it means that no offer has been submitted for that request for quotation.
  
What do the stars mean in the ‘manufacturer assessment’ / ‘price of offer’ sections in the requests for quotation list?
The stars represent the average total assessment for a manufacturer. If you click on a star you will be connected to a detailed assessment of that manufacturer.
   
What happens after I have accepted an offer?
Both you and the manufacturer will receive a message of confirmation. Acceptance is contractually binding, and as the manufacturer has your PCB layout files he can begin production immediately.
 
How big must the layout file be?
The layout file must not exceed 6 MB. This is to prevent unauthorised persons loading large amounts of useless information onto our server which would waste memory space and block the server.
 
Why does the requests for quotation list not include the request for quotation for which I have accepted an offer?
In the list of own requests for quotation you are only able to view those requests for quotation for which no offer has been made. To facilitate viewing and speed up loading time, we have integrated requests for quotation which have received an offer in the “list of accepted offers menu.
   
What happens if the date for the request for quotation has expired?
The request for quotation is automatically deleted when it passes it’s expiry date.
   
I am unable to load my layout file. What can I do?
Customers with Firewall Internet access via a Proxy-Server may experience problems when trying to load layout files using our Upload pages. Unfortunately, due to the Proxy-Server’s configuration we are unable to prevent this occurring. If you experience problems, please e-mail your layout file to us at info@pcb-broker.de. Please also send the reference number for the corresponding request for quotation, as we will be unable to allocate your file a request for quotation without it.
